Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox, is a mage who relies on energy blasts to damage its opponents. She is very mobile for a mage class and has some sustain through her passive. Ahri isn’t a particularly hard champion to play, and you won’t need a lot of time to master the basics.

There are 15 Ahri skins in total. Most of them are gentle and sensual, but there are also some darker themes, such as Coven Ahri. If you wish to purchase a cosmetic for the champion, you can go with something more jovial like Arcade Ahri or a colorful option such as Elderwood Ahri.

Ahri has formed a direct link to the invisible powers running through Runeterra. She can utilize this energy and shape it according to her whim. The Nine-Tailed Fox is a very vicious entity, manipulating and toying with its victims before completely destroying them. However, she can develop emotions for her enemies as she retains all their memories after consuming their souls.

Appearance and model

Ahri has a very interesting model. Although she is a humanoid, the champion has 9 large white shaded tails, which separates her from other characters.

Ahri wears oriental boots that combine black, white, and red colors. She has a white skirt with red edges, leaving her legs bare naked. The upper part of her garment is red with a white outline. The top has very wide sleeves, similar to those of traditional Chinese dresses. There are also a few orange details that add to its intricacy.

The Nine-Tailed Fox has long dark blue hair tied with a red ribbon. She also has fox ears.

Dynasty Ahri

Appearance and model

This cosmetic is a part of the Wonders of the World series alongside Sultan Gankplank, Muay Thai Lee Sin, Shamrock Malphite, Panda Teemo, and many others. Ahri’s clothing is meant to resemble traditional Korean garments called Hanbok.

The champion’s tails are light green with dark green ends. She wears pink slippers with long white socks. Her knees and legs are naked, and she has a pink baggies skirt with a green butterfly ornament. Ahri fashions a beautiful white shirt with a few purple details that go really well with the rest of the cosmetic. Another thing that adds to her appearance is a large purple ribbon on his top.

Unlike the base model, Dynasty Ahri has brown hair made into a bun. She has several large pins that hold it all together and a pretty pink ribbon. The champion’s ears are green, similar to the color of her tails.

Fox-Fire ability is slightly altered. There is a pink effect prior to launching the projectiles. When an enemy is affected by Charm, there will be a large pink circle beneath its feet (the default animation doesn’t have any effect). After Spirit Rush, a blue circular visual appears beneath Ahri’s feet. Her tails will also have a blue glow.

Animations

During Recall, the champion calls upon a ball of energy, and while she plays with it, she is ported back to base. The basic attacks leave a trail, which looks as if Ahri’s casting water projectiles.

Midnight Ahri

The Midnight Ahri theme is pretty cool. The skin utilizes very similar color combinations, so everything feels like a part of the same whole.

The Nine-Tailed Fox has dark blue/light blue tails that gradually become white towards the tips. Ahri wears black/blue boots with furry elements. She is insulated with a thick furry coat that covers most of her body sans legs. Although the outfit is pretty simplistic, it looks really nice on this champion. Its edges are covered in fur, and you will notice a few minor trinkets, such as the crystal necklace.

Her hair is dyed dark blue, and she has a very fashionable haircut. Ahri has long ears and an interesting tiara-like ornament on her head.

Foxfire Ahri

For the longest time, Ahri has inhabited Shadowfire Temple, honing her skills in complete solace. Once extremists attacked her land, she had no choice but to address the issue and leave the comfort of the temple. Even though things look dire, Ahri will fight till her last breath relying on potent fire magic.

Appearance and model

The theme refers to the Foxfire browser. It is a part of the Infernal series together with cosmetics such as Shadowfire Kindred, Infernal Alistar, Infernal Shen, Infernal Kennen, Wildfire Zyra, Ashen Lord Aurelion Sol, Scorched Earth Xerath, and many others. It also shares a common theme (Web Browsers) with Chrome Rammus, Safari Caitlyn, and Explorer Ezreal.

This skin is much better than the previous ones. It has a lot more details, and its tails are especially awesome. The champion utilizes orange colors, similar to that of Firefox Browser. Her tails have a different position; instead of pointing downward, they are going up in a menacing position. Furthermore, unlike other skins, where every tail looks the same, these ones are completely different in width and length.

The Nine-Tailed Fox wears dark boots with gold laces and red stripes. Her legs are bare naked, for the most part, and she wears a red skirt with golden edges that looks more like an oversized belt than an actual skirt. She also has a large yellow rope tied around her waist.

The champion has a black top with red edges. This is a rather skimpy outfit revealing her sides and cleavage. Ahri has bright red armguards with orange edges, while the rest of her arms are bare naked. As for her face, she has small stripes which are meant to resemble fox whiskers. The champion has long maroon hair that goes into a braid. Her ears are orange, and they finally resemble the ears of a fox.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

Orb of Deception utilizes orange colors and leaves a beautiful purple trail behind it. Fox-Fire launches orange balls at an opponent. During the animation, the ground beneath the champion will briefly turn purple. Furthermore, when she gains a movement speed buff, the energy ball in her hand will turn yellow/green.

The Charm effect looks much better. The designers added a few more visuals, including the pink/purple effect below her feet. Spirit Rush also looks amazing. Ahri turns into an orange comet punishing enemies around the champion. The ground beneath her will turn orange, as well.

Animations

The champion has a few cool emotes where she plays with an orange energy ball. She performs a similar dance during Recall, where she bounces the ball as if it’s a basketball. As you can presume, her basic attacks look like fiery projectiles.

Pros

• This skin is a major improvement, and it is much better than everything so far.
• Naturally, the orange color is perfect for a fox-themed champion.

Popstar Ahri

Like most pop stars, Ahri was quite young when a big record label discovered her. Since then, she released 5 hit singles, managing to win an award for the most promising rookie as well as Pop Shine Award in 2013. However, her star has quickly fallen the same way it has risen. Ahri removed herself from public life, looking for ways to reinvent her style.

Appearance and model

Popstar Ahri is a part of K/DA theme. The other skins from the series include K/DA Evelynn, K/DA Akali, K/DA Kai’Sa, Prestige K/DA Evelynn, Prestige K/DA Akali, Prestige K/DA Kai’Sa, and Prestige K/DA Ahri. The cosmetic is a reference to the Girls’ Generation.

The champion’s tail combines several peach shades going from brightest to mellowest. Ahri wears high heels and long stockings. The champion has a mini skirt with a gray belt, a tight top that puts emphasis on breasts, and a long gray jacket.

There are a few details that add liveliness to this cosmetic. The Nine-Tailed Fox wears a golden heart badge and has a necklace with a similar ornament. She has a gray hat with a white ribbon and, once again, a golden heart. Like every pop star, Ahri wears a small mic that allows her to connect with the audience no matter where she is. Charm leaves a purple effect below the enemy’s feet. The ability’s orb leaves note visual as it flies. The ultimate leaves a similar note visual in her wake. A pink circle will form beneath her feet for the duration.

Animations

Popstar Ahri has all the standard emotes with extra effect. She also has a new emote where a glowing heart podium appears beneath her feet. When casting Recall, her energy ball turns into a disco ball surrounded by musical notes. While she dances, Ahri is slowly ported to base.

Her basic attack is also changed now, leaving a turquoise trail behind it.

Challenger Ahri

The Nine-Tailed Fox’s tail is dark purple, slowly turning into crimson red. She wears long, fashionable boots with a wide opening in front. Ahri’s legs are covered with leather leggings, and she has a futuristic white/black outfit that feels very tight.

The champion has massive pink shoulder pauldrons, something that distinguishes this cosmetic from other Ahri skins. She wears sturdy arm guards of the same color as well as a pink faceguard. The champion’s neck area is decorated with a crimson ruby necklace, and she has a white ponytail and white fox ears.

Charm spell is, for the most part, the same as the default one. When using Spirit Rush, a pink circle below the champion’s feet will form.

During Recall animation, Ahri rolls in a ball, using her 9 tails as a protective frontal cover. The basic strike effect is also altered; it now leaves small rainbow particles in its wake.

Academy Ahri

Appearance and model

Academy Ahri is a part of the Academy set featuring Academy Ekko, Headmaster Fiora, Professor Ryze, Academy Darius, and Academy Vladimir. She wears an outfit that is common in Korean schools.

Her tail resembles a real fox’s tail; it combines brown, red, and white colors. The Nine-Tailed Fox wears flat sneakers and long dark socks that stretch just above the knees. Ahri has a dark blue square skirt with a flounce and a white sweater with turquoise edges.

Unlike most other Ahri cosmetics, this particular skin has numerous small details that make it worth your time. She has a small toy on her hip, a red school tie, a school emblem on her right shoulder, and a fashionable backpack. The champion wears long red hair, and you can see red fox ears peeking through it.

Appearance and model

This cosmetic is a part of the Arcade: Heroes theme alongside Arcade Kai’Sa, Arcade Riven, Arcade Miss Fortune, Arcade Caitlyn, Arcade Ezreal, Arcade Corki, Arcade Hecarim, Arcade Sona, Prestige Arcade Caitlyn.

The thing that’s really cool about this skin is that her tail will constantly change colors. Unlike most other skins, her tail is not static but moves all the time. It is the same as the Firefox Ahri version. The champion has dark blue boots and socks of different lengths and colors.

The Nine-Tailed Fox wears shorts with green edges. She also has a blue belt with a star instead of a belt buckle, a long white shirt with peach edges and blue elements, and a green top beneath it.

Like all skins from the Arcade collection, this one has a lot of small details and gaming references. Ahri wears a blue bottle on her left hip and a handheld console on her right. She wears yellow and green bands and a transformed crystal blue right hand. Another cool feature is the red scarf that breaks down into pixels.

The character has short purple hair, digital brown ears, and oversized headphones with stars.

The first thing worth mentioning is that the champion wields a pixelated blue energy ball. As mentioned, her tails will constantly change their colors, going from yellow to red, blue, etc. During Recall, a large arcade machine will fall to the ground. Ahri will start playing the game until she’s finally sucked into it.

Appearance and model

This cosmetic is a part of Star Guardian Season 2 and is a reference to magic girl animes. The skin’s color patterns are simply amazing. The cosmetic utilizes a combination of white, yellow, orange, and blue creating an impressive symphony. Ahri’s tails are orange with yellow tips, and she has long yellow hair.

She has a long white stocking with yellow edges, a red skirt with flounces, a white sleeveless top, and two white arm sleeves. Her outfit has golden edges and blue details here and there. There are a few details that add to the intricacy of the skin: she has a pink jewel on her outfit, a red necklace with a yellow cross, a yellow tiara, and hair lace.

This is another Ahri skin that belongs to the K/DA theme.

The champion has a translucent purple tail that provides a unique feeling when playing K/DA Ahri. Her outfit is almost completely black. She has black high heels, black stockings, and a black top. The only thing that stands out is the white element around her breasts.

Ahri wears several golden trinkets, including two gold bracelets, a heart necklace, and a heart earring on her right ear. The character has orange foxlike eyes, long blue hair, and two long ears. She also has a mic similar to that of Popstar Ahri.

Orb of Deception casts a blue pixelated ball towards an enemy that leaves a long spiral trail. The orb is the same when returning back, but now, it’s in pink color. Fox-Fire generates three crystals around Ahri, which are subsequently cast towards the closest enemy.

When she casts Charm, a large pixelated heart is thrown toward an opponent. If struck, a circle of pink dots will appear around the enemy. When using Spirit Rush, Ahri leaves several blue spirals in her wake.

Animations

During Recall animation, the ground beneath her fit becomes crystal blue. As she performs her standard dance routine, Ahri is ported to base. She casts blue projectiles during her base attacks.

Prestige K/DA Ahri

Shinning bright in her golden garment, Ahri is ready to dominate any stage. The new outfit is meant to celebrate the success of her best project: the POP/STARS.

Appearance and model

Similar to K/DA Ahri, Prestige K/DA Ahri has a translucent tail. However, this one is gold. The champion wears long golden high heels. Her legs are bare naked, and she wears a metallic gold/white shirt with fashionable lines.

Her top is open in the back, while the frontal side looks like the front of a corset. Like the skirt, her top utilizes white and gold colors. The champion has several golden bracelets around her wrists and arms. Ahir also wears a golden necklace and has a crystal mic. Her hair is short and blonde.

Orb of Deception creates a gold orb when flying toward an enemy transforming into a purple orb on its way back. The spell leaves golden spirals. Similarly, Fox-Fore creates 3 golden prisms that are fired toward an enemy.

Charm utilizes a bit lighter visual, with a heart leaving a golden trail in its wake. During Spirit Rush, the champion’s body will turn golden, and there are golden squares beneath her feet for the duration.

Prestige K/DA Ahri has the same Recall animation as K/DA Ahri, but instead of purple/blue, she utilizes a gold color palette.

Elderwood Ahri

Ahri was always among us, tricking travelers during their journeys. Always curious, she wants to learn as much as possible about the world surrounding her. Unfortunately, the increasing corruption has changed her fair heart. Nowadays, she does everything in her power to eliminate the upcoming threat.

Appearance and model

This cosmetic is a part of the Elderwood theme alongside Old God Warwick, Elderwood Veigar, Elderwood Hecarim, Elderwood Ornn, and many more. In my opinion, this cosmetic did the best job combining different shades. It looks very jovial, and while these colors are very different, they work really well together. Ahri has shaded purple/green tails with ornamental lines.

The champion is barefooted, only having purple leaves around her ankles. While her legs are also naked, they have nice green tattoos that make them look really good. Ahri has a short skirt made from various purple leaves. The same goes for her breast area, which is covered with pink plants.

Ahri has long pink/purple hair with a long braid. The champion wears numerous flowers in her hair and has two black horns and a silver tiara.

Elderwood Ahri’s Orb of Deception is completely different. The champion launches a massive translucent bubble that releases leaves in its path. The champion is surrounded by numerous flowers during the Fire-Fox cast; upon sending forth projectiles, they turn into flowers.

The Charm spell is much more polished. The heart projectile looks much better, and the circle beneath the enemy’s feet has more details. During Spirit Rush, there is a ring of leaves beneath Ahri’s feet. When charging, there is a yellow effect in front of Ahri’s body.

Animations

Ahri’s energy ball has a small wood spirit inside of it. During the Recall spell, Ahri chases a nearby butterfly. Once she catches it, she will turn it into several smaller white butterflies, after which she is promptly ported to the fountain.

The champion’s basic projectiles are made from several prismatic colors. Upon hitting its target, there is a visual effect leaving pink circles at the point of strike.

• Perhaps the best skin for the champion.

Spirit Blossom Ahri

Appearance and model

The cosmetic is a part of the Kanmei collection together with Spirit Blossom Teemo, Spirit Blossom Yone, Spirit Blossom Yasuo, Spirit Blossom Kindred, and Prestige Spirit Blossom Teemo.

The champion has long turquoise tails, white legging, traditional Japanese footwear, and black calf protectors. The Nine-Tailed Fox wears traditional white kimono with turquoise edges. She has a massive ribbon in front while the outfit’s sleeves fall freely.

Ahri’s hair combines several shades of pink and purple. She also has two golden bells and two turquoise ribbons around her ears.

Orb of Deception summons an orb that spirals and bends mid-flight while also leaving purple petals behind it. Fox-Fire summons 3 orange orbs that, when launched, leave an orange/purple trail. Charm is somewhat similar to default animation. The only difference is that it uses bright pink color. When using Spirit Rush, the champion’s skin become bright blue, and she transforms into a fox mid-charge.

Animations

Spirit Blossom skin has really incredible emotes. During one of them, Ahri turns into a snow fox and gets stuck in the snow. Similarly, the champion will turn into a white fox during the Recall animation. Her basic attack leaves a windy blue trail.

K/DA ALL OUT Ahri

Appearance and model

The cosmetic is a part of the K/DA ALL OUT set. The chroma comes in 10 different colors. The champion has a white translucent tail, dark boots, and a skirt that is half white, half prismatic. Her top is dark blue and has only one sleeve. Ahri has long white/pink hair, white fox ears, and several turquoise necklaces.

Orb of Deception creates a prismatic ball with rough edges. Fire-Fox summons three crystal formations around the champion that shatter upon striking an opponent. Charm heart visual has rough edges and creates pink crystals beneath the opponent’s feet.

During ultimate, Ahri’s body gains prismatic colors. There is also a diamond-like formation beneath her feet while the effect lasts.

Animations

During Recall, Ahri climbs stairs that form as he walks upwards. As she reaches the end of the stairs, a light blue throne forms, after which the champion takes a seat. When using basic attacks, it looks as if the champion is casting prismatic crystals.

Coven Ahri

The skin is a part of the awesome Coven theme. It comes in 10 colors, including pearl, sapphire, ruby, tanzanite, catseye, ahri-versary, dark ritual, emerald, rose quartz, and obsidian.

The Nine-Tailed Fox has beautiful purple/pink tails. She wears long dark boots, dark purple leggings, and a deep blue outfit with golden stripes. Ahri has blue/purple feathers around her hips and blue/yellow hair with white skeletal ears.

Lastly, it is worth mentioning her pink predator hand.

Orb of Deception creates dark purple orbs that leave a misty trail behind them. Fire-Fox summons three large purple orbs, which are cast towards a target as purple projectiles.

Unlike other Charm effects, this one doesn’t create pink ground below a target but, instead, a purple visual. When using Spirit Rush, Ahri’s whole body will become purple translucent, and you can see a pink animal skull instead of her head.

During the Recall spell, Ahri summons a pink skull. Her basic attacks are pink and leave dark pink particles behind them.

If you wish to get a new skin for Ahri, there are so many options at your disposal. I would give advantage to Elderwood Ahri, but Spirit Blossom Ahri and Coven Ahri are also good choices.
