Vayne, the Night Hunter, is a markswoman that requires a high degree of skill. The champion is very mobile, relying on her Tumble skill to initiate and disengage. She becomes faster as she approaches the target, making it really hard to escape her wrath. Learn more in this Vayne skins guide.

Vayne is a relentless hunter who has dedicated her life to exterminating demons and other menacing creatures. One of these infernal souls has slain her family, and since then, she has fully dedicated herself to practicing dark arts and mastering her skills on the crossbow.

Appearance and model

Vayne has a very intimidating base model with lots of small details. The champion wears a blue full-body suit that wraps tightly around her. She has brown high heel boots, where she stores crossbow bolts. The Night Hunter also has a utility belt with potions that can come in handy during battle.

The champion wears a large brown collar that goes all the way to her arms. She also has ornamental pauldrons and crossbow bolts. Vayne has a massive spiked wooden crossbow that is attached to a metal fixture on her back. She also has an additional, smaller crossbow on her metallic right arm.

To wrap up her appearance, Vayne has long black hair held by several golden bands. Just to demonstrate how badass she truly is, the Night Hunter wears crimson sunglasses, which might be a reference to Blade.

Vindicator is a more polished version of the base skin. Although it isn’t anything special, it is definitely an upgrade.

She wears long silver metallic leggings with extra knee pads. The Night Hunter has purple pants and a shirt and a long blue coat on top of it. There are also a few extra details worth mentioning, such as blue gloves, brown belts, and blue goggles.

Her crossbow is noticeably smaller compared to the default skin. It doesn’t have excessive details; it just combines metal and wood. Once again, she has metallic reinforcement on her right hand and a handheld crossbow (which looks more like a katar). Vayne’s hair looks much more fashionable this time around.

Aristocrat Vayne

Vayne’s proficiency with a crossbow brought her enormous notoriety in a short time. She can no longer remember the time when her bolts were made from regular iron instead of silver.

Appearance and model

Aristocrat Vayne looks really sinister. The designer utilized a lot of crimson red and black to give the champion a sharp appearance. The skin is a part of the High Society collection together with Gentleman Gnar, Marquis Vladimir, Archduke Nasus, and Gentleman Cho’Gath.

The Night Hunter has long red boots where she stashes wooden stakes. She has reinforced leg guards and fancy purple trousers. The champion has a belt with pouches, as well as an extra pouch on her right hip. The mid-section is covered with a red corset, while she wears a black piece of the outfit around her neck.

Vayne has a long red/black cape with a nice pattern. Her face is rather pale, which is why the red lipstick looks so good on her. The champion has black goggles, white hair that is fashioned in a braid, and a long, black feathery hat. Both her hand crossbow and the main crossbow are made from gold.

Dragonslayer Vayne

The dragon hunters have started assembling forces from various layers of society. Vayne heard their calls and is prepared to join the most dangerous monster quest.

Appearance and model

Dragonslayer Vayne is a part of Dragon World set together with Dragonslayer Trundle, Dragon Trainer Lulu, Dragonslayer Diana, Dragon Oracle Udyr, and many others.

The cosmetic relies on various shades of blue with a bit of maroon. Vayne has high heel boots with claws. The majority of her legs are covered in armor, and she has blue fishnets around her thighs. The Night Hunter wears a piece of fabric around her waist attached with a green buckle.

Her torso is naked, for the most part, while the rest of it is covered with skimpy blue armor. Vayne wears heavy pauldrons and armguards and has a large helmet in the shape of a dragon skull. Her cape looks like maroon dragon skin.

The champion’s weapons are especially interesting. While her hand crossbow is rather simple, the big crossbow on her back has a few interesting details. It utilizes a combination of turquoise and brown, and there is a large dragon skull at the top, where bolts shoot out from.

When Silver Bolts are activated, there is a blue circular effect around Vayne. For the most part, her Condemn ability is the same, although there are some minor differences. While Night Hunter is active, there is a fade effect around the champion.

The champion has a few nice emotes. Her bolts are a bit different, and they leave a big splash at the point of impact.

Heartseeker Vayne

It is time to take a love ride with your favorite monster hunter, Vayne. Her sturdy bolts and years of experience will ensure that your heart is pierced like many others.

Appearance and model

This particular item was created to celebrate 2012 Valentine’s Day. It is a part of the Heartbreakers set that also features Sweetheart Annie, Sweetheart Xayah, Heartpiercer Fiora, Heartseeker Varus, Heartseeker Quinn, Heartbreaker Vi, Heartseeker Lucian, Sweetheart Rakan, Heartseeker Ashe, Sweetheart Sona, Heartseeker Yuumi, Heartseeker Orianna, and Heartseeker Jinx.

The cosmetic combines white and red shades. She has long red boots with white tips and red/white striped long socks with hearts at their edges. The champion wears a white belt made from several straps with a heart buckle in the middle. Vayne’s garment leaves her belly and most of the torso naked, having a large cape in the back.

As it should be during Valentine’s, the Night Hunter’s skin features lots of heart details. For example, she has a heart-shaped necklace, heart makeup on her cheeks, and even her crossbows have heart ornaments. Instead of the usual tips, her bolts have red hearts. This weapon looks amazing, and it even has small white wings on its sides.

Tumble leaves a trail of red hearts. Condemn shoots a massive heart bolt at the enemy, staggering them upon connection. After activating Final Hour, a plethora of hearts will start hovering around her, on top of the flying bats.

• The crossbow on her back is pretty awesome.
• The skin is relaxing and jovial. Just the thing for Valentine!

• I don’t like her glasses and heart makeup. They are off-putting.

SKT T1 Vayne

This skin commemorates SKT T1 performance during the 2013 World Champions.

Appearance and model

The skin honors Piglet’s performance during the event. The champion wears bulky black shoes with red laces, black leather pants, and she ties a hoodie around her waist. Vayne has a red shirt with a large T1 logo in front. The Night Hunter has black/red gloves, orange sunglasses, and a large gaming headphone with a mic.

Her weapons are especially interesting. Both of her crossbows have large wings as the centerpieces (similar to that of the T1 logo). Their bolts look more like golden arrows, with feathers and all. Overall, both of them look really clean, without excessive details.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

Condemn launches a massive golden bolt at the opponent. Silver Bolts leave a purple effect in their wake.

Animations

All her basics attacks are changed now, featuring golden bolts.

Pros

• Crossbows look pretty nice.

Arclight Vayne

Drawing power from Arclight, Vayne tries to uncover all the monsters hiding in the dark nooks and crannies of our world. The champion is willing to put her life on the line to pursue and eliminate these spawns of darkness.

Appearance and model

Arclight Vayne is a part of the Arclight series together with Arclight Yorick, Arclight Brand, Arclight Vel’Koz, and Arclight Varus.

The champion has long blue pants with reinforced knee protectors and golden heels. Vayne also has golden pants, a white cloth around her waist, and a golden belt on top of everything. A blue top with golden brasiers covers her torso, and she also has dark blue gloves with golden armguards and nails.

Vayne’s head is completely different compared to the base model. She looks almost godlike, with bright green/blue eyes and golden tattoos across her face and arms. The turquoise hair goes well with the outfit, and the Night Hunter also has a massive golden pin.

She wields golden crossbows with gently arced limbs, which makes them look like bird wings. The bolts are awesome, as well, and they fit nicely with the overall theme.

When stacking Silver Bolts, golden circles start appearing beneath the target’s feet. Night Hunter creates a similar golden visual under Vayne’s feet. Condemn launched a large, golden spiraling bolt towards the target.

When activating Final Hour, the champion is briefly enveloped in golden light. Four golden arrows will appear beneath her feet while the effect lasts. She will also leave a trail of gold as she moves.

Animations

Like with SKT T1 Vayne cosmetic, her bolts are altered, so they look like the featured weapon.

Pros

• The best crossbows so far.
• Completely different from the base model. In my opinion, this is a massive upgrade.

Cons

• I would love some extra visual effects.

Soulstealer Vayne

Soulstealer Vayne shares the Soulhunter theme with Soulstealer Vladimir and Soulhunter Kayn.

The skin is rather ominous with nice color combinations. The Night Hunter wears flat golden shoes. She has dark pants and metallic reinforcement on top of them. The majority of her suit is made out of earth-covered bones. Vayne has a long, purple cape with bone ornaments.

The champion wears a purple scarf around her neck and has a golden emerald necklace on her chest. She also has a large boney pauldron with a demon skull on it. What I really like are her hands; they are green and ghastly, which goes perfectly with the theme.

Vayne has a dark blue ponytail with a golden emerald pin. Her skin is pale, her eyes are green, and her crossbow resembles a ghostly sword. It is mostly green, with a large boney skull instead of the limb.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

When Night Hunter is active, there is a green circle under Vayne’s feet. During Tumble, the champion leaves a dark cloudy mark in her wake. While she has a bonus damage buff, her hands will turn green, leaving dark green mist behind them.

Silver Bolts strikes create wide green circles beneath the enemy’s feet. The proc strike will create a dark burst visual at the target point. Condemn launches a massive green bolt at the opponent. When she activates Final Hour, wide green arrows will appear under her feet.

Animations

During Recall, Vayne punctures the earth with her crossbow and summons evil spirits from beneath. Her bolts leave pale green trails and create a dark splashy visual at the point of impact.

Pros

• The sword-looking crossbow is simply amazing.
• I also like her hands.

Cons

• Vayne’s hand crossbow is really lousy compared to the large crossbow.

PROJECT: Vayne

Price: 1,820

For quite a while, Vayne worked as a part of the counter-espionage section within PROJECT. Empowered by high-tech, the champion was ultimately betrayed by the very organization she tried to protect. Now using her skills for revenge, Vayne looks to tear down PROJECT from within.

Appearance and model

PROJECT: Vayne is a part of a larger PROJECT series alongside PROJECT: Vi, PROJECT: Akali, PROJECT: Fiora, PROJECT: Irelia, and many others.

This particular cosmetic is out of this world! PROJECT: Vayne has an aura of a deadly mystery. She wears high heels and reinforced leggings. The Night Hunter’s torso is completely protected with an exoskeleton body armor made from numerous pieces. She has extra protection on her hands, and you can notice a short, futuristic crossbow on her right arm.

The thing I really like is her cape. It looks more like an airplane wing than an actual cape, which makes it really awesome. Vayne has a purple high collar and a sturdy, aerodynamic helmet that pushes her white hair backward. Her main crossbow looks more like a gun; it splits into several sections upon activation.

The Night Hunter has a completely new, robotic voice. When Night Hunter passive is activated, square lines will appear under her feet. During Tumble, her body will turn completely purple.

Silver Bolts leave purple marking on the ground, which explodes when the attack procs. When using Condemn, the champion jumps into the air and launches a massive light blue bolt towards the target. Upon activating Final Hour, Vayne takes the large crossbow. Additional effects spawn around the weapon, and there is a purple digital effect beneath her feet.

A really cool thing about the Final Hour is that it changes the player’s screen adding futuristic purple edges around it.

Animations

When using Recall, Vayne summons a futuristic bike that takes her to the base. She uses the same bike during the Ghost spell. The designers created a new emote during which Vayne breakdances on the ground. The champion’s basic attacks are completely altered, leaving straight lines behind the projectile.

Pros

• Probably the best skin for the champion.
• Extra effects on the crossbow are incredible.

• No complaints.

Firecracker Vayne

Wearing her ceremonial Lunar Garb, Vayne is ready to face all the challenges. She goes around firing firecrackers from her gun, scaring everyone in the vicinity.

Appearance and model

This is a fun costume made for the 2019 Lunar Reveal. It is a part of the Lunar Revel series together with Panda Annie, Firecracker Dianna, Dragonwing Corki, Firecracker Tristana, and many more. Vayne wears a traditional Chinese garment with golden shoes and dark stockings. A red outfit with golden details covers her torso. She also has a wide brown belt with a ribbon in front.

The thing I really find cute is the golden pig on her arm replacing the handheld crossbow. Instead of the large crossbow, she now wields a firecracker gun with a golden pig instead of cocking stirrup. These piggies are so funny, significantly increasing your gaming experience.

The champion wears orange sunglasses, while her hair is tied with a red ribbon.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

When using Tumble, Vayne leaves a trail that looks like a gust of wind. When facing an enemy, Night Hunter passive creates small orange circles under her feet. Silver Bolts leave circular ornamental trails beneath the opponent’s feet with a unique sound cue when the ability procs.

Condemn releases a massive bolt towards the target. Upon knocking them back, there is a firework effect at the point of impact, followed by characteristic firework sounds. When Vayne activates Final Hour, small orange sparks appear around her, and there is a large pork symbol under her feet.

Animations

During Recall, Vayne launches fireworks from her weapon while simultaneously performing a combat dance. Her bolts are golden and leave a shattering visual at the point of impact.

• A very fun skin to have.
• The sound effects are great.

Prestige Firecracker Vayne

Price: 150 Mythic essence.

Although the new outfit has done wonders for Vayne’s confidence, the sound of firecrackers has done just the opposite for everyone in her vicinity.

Appearance and model

Unlike most other Prestige skin versions, the difference between Firecracker Vayne and Prestige Firecracker Vayne is almost negligible. The main thing that separates the two is the fact that the Prestige version utilizes white instead of red color. There are also a few other minor details, such as the crescent moon trinket in her hair and a slightly different hairpin.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

Tumble effect leaves a foggy visual, which looks much better than the regular Firecracker version. While Night Hunter is active, there are golden circles and sparkles under Vayne’s feet. Silver Bolts and Condemn have very similar effects as the basic Firecracker version.

The thing that is slightly different is the Final Hour effect. The spell creates a twisted wind visual beneath the champion.

Animations

Prestige Firecracker Vayne has the same Recall spell as the regular Firecracker Vayne. However, her basic attacks are slightly better, leaving sparkles at the point of impact.

Pros

• Good if you prefer white instead of the red palette.

Cons

• One of the rare Prestige items that look inferior compared to its basic skin.

FPX Vayne

The cosmetic was created to commemorate FPX’s victory at the 2019 World Champions.

Appearance and model

FPX Vayne is a part of the FunPlus Phoenix collection that also features FPX Malphite, FPX Lee Sin, FPX Gangplank, and FPX Thresh.

Vayne wears a maroon/black tight full-body suit with several futuristic orange details. You can also notice a large letter X on the front, which probably refers to FPX (although the logo isn’t the same). The boots have high heels with cool orange stripes. The champion has a maroon/black short jacket.

The Night Hunter wears a winged red helmet with an awesome visor, which resembles Kamen Rider’s outfit. The crossbow on her hand has long yellow curled wings. Her main weapon is rather large, with similar orange/maroon limbs. It utilizes massive orange bolts. The champion has a large white robe that is partially covered from view by Vayne’s long blonde hair.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

Night Hunter activation creates a blurry orange effect under the champion’s feet. During and after Tumble, Vayne’s body temporarily turns black. Stacks of Silver Bolts create yellow and orange circles beneath the enemy’s feet. Upon activating the proc, a phoenix animation appears above the target’s head. There is a similar visual when Vayne hits you with Condemn spell.

Final Hour creates a round circle beneath her feet with a large letter X in the middle. Four triangles surround this circle.

Animations

During Recall, a large FPX sign appears on the ground. Four cats spawn close to Vayne, and they start grooving as Vayne starts dancing. The Night Hunter’s basic attack releases a fiery spark upon exiting the crossbow and creates an orange splash at the point of impact. During critical hits, there is extra orange visual around the bolt.

Pros

• I really like the phoenix effects and the orange color.
• The outfit looks polished, and the same can be said for crossbows.

Cons

• I would remove the cape.

Spirit Blossom Vayne

Vayne’s clan was completely decimated when a malicious demon descended upon their village. Now regarded as the last monster hunter, Vayne clings to revenge, pursuing the evil being as it consciously eludes her.

Appearance and model

Spirit Blossom Vayne is a part of the Akana collection together with Spirit Blossom Riven, Spirit Blossom Lillia, Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia, and Spirit Blossom Thresh. It comes in pearl, obsidian, emerald, citrine, tanzanite, ruby, night blossom, and rose quartz.

Vayne has light purple skin and light blue hair. She is barefooted, with fabric covering her calves. The Night Hunter has a blue skirt with a frontal cut, and you can see black shorts beneath it. Vayne wears a sturdy blue belt around her waist and a light blue top. A long jacket covers her back, going almost all the way to the ground.

The champion wears numerous battle wounds. Her right hand is dark blue, and she uses it for carrying a light crossbow. Vayne has a large scarf over her left eye, indicating a recent injury. The champion has a massive crossbow with a golden limb and golden dart.

Night Hunter creates a full blue circle under her feet. During Tumble, Vayne’s body turns light blue as blue butterflies briefly surround her. While she has empowered strike, three blue spirit balls float around the champion.

Silver Bolts create blue circles around the target. After the third strike, a blue mist appears at the point of impact, indicating that Silver Bolts have proced. Condemn creates a massive light blue visual effect. Upon activating Final Hour, the champion gets light blue wings while a light blue glow envelops her body.

During Recall, the champion summons small woodland creatures and proceeds to shoot them. Vayne also has a nice misty blue effect on her feet. The Night Hunter’s basic attack bolts leave a dark blue trail and create a misty fume after hitting a target.

• The effects are pretty dope.
• The big crossbow looks intimidating and sturdy, especially in-game.

• I don’t like how green details mash with the rest of the cosmetic.

Sentinel Vayne

Vayne decided to join Sentinels as a way of augmenting her powers and skills, which could allow her to become an even better monster tracker. Even though she doesn’t like some of the Sentinels, it is a small price to pay for achieving her ultimate goal.

Appearance and model

Sentinel Vayne is a part of the Sentinels of Light set that features Sentinel Pyke, Sentinel Riven, Sentinel Diana, Sentinel Irelia, Sentinel Olaf, Sentinel Graves, and Sentinel Rengar. It comes in sapphire, ruby, emerald, amethyst, rose quartz, and resolute.

Sentinel Vayne has the most imposing of all crossbows. It looks like a giant fan, combining white and black colors. The handheld weapon is also nice, having white floating crystals around the limbs. As for the rest of her outfit, Vayne wears long white boots with golden edges that stretch all the way to her thighs. She also has a dark outfit and dark sleeves with a long white cape that forms a wide collar.

Always stylish, Vayne is rocking short brown hair and round red sunglasses.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

Night Hunter buff creates yellow shapes under Vayne’s feet. Tumble leaves white/gold mist behind the champion, and it has an altered sound effect. Upon connecting with Silver Bolts, white/yellow circles and squares appear beneath the enemy. When the ability procs, it creates a large square around the target.

When using Condemn, Vayne jumps into the air and sends a large bolt toward an enemy. Activating Final Hour creates a white/yellow mist behind the champion, transforming her large crossbow.

Animations

The champion has a few cool emotes during which you can see what her weapon looks like in action. During Recall, Vayne touches the ground, which summons a portal to her location. After passing through the gate, she is teleported to base. The Night Hunter fires white/yellow projectiles that leave a spiraling trail.

Battle Bat Vayne

Vayne is an important part of the Anima Squad, responsible for espionage and intel. The champion strikes fast, and she strikes fierce, leaving enemies no time to react. Even if it means confronting her allies, she will do everything in her power to suppress the incoming threat.

Appearance and model

Battle Bat Vayne costume has a lot of interesting pieces. She wears short metallic boots, black/silver leather leggings, and black/silver body armor. The Night Hunter has a fluffy purple coat with a cape. Her metallic right arm is the home of a short crossbow with bat ornament.

Vayne has pink hair, bat ears, and funky pink glasses. Her main crossbow is in the shape of a massive metallic bat.

Visual Effects (VFX) and Sound Effects (SFX)

Night Hunter creates a pink effect below Vayne’s feet. Tumble changes the champion’s base colors, making her look like a hologram for a brief moment. Each time Vayne hits an opponent with Silver Bolts, a pink circle appears beneath their feet. When the proc activates, pink bats fly around the target.

Condemn launched a multi-color projectile at the opponent creating a similar, multi-color visual at the point of impact. When using her ultimate, Vayne receives pink wings, her crossbow gains pink translucent colors, and a pink/yellow symbol appears beneath her feet.

When using Recall, the champion summons a jellyfish hologram. After killing it and blowing a kiss, she is promptly ported to base. Her basic strike leaves a pink trail and yellow splash at the point of impact.
